Students design, build, and program intelligent machines using sensors, motors, microcontrollers, and electronic components. Robotics is the perfect gateway to engineering, electronics, and computational thinking — all wrapped in a hands-on, project-first experience.
What Students Will Learn
- Fundamentals of electronics — circuits, sensors, actuators
- Programming logic using block-based and text-based coding
- Mechanical design and structural engineering concepts
- Working with servo motors, ultrasonic sensors, and microcontrollers
- Debugging, testing, and iterating on real robot builds
- Teamwork, project planning, and presenting completed projects
Program Outcomes
- Build at least 3 fully functional robot models during the program
- Program a robot to complete a real-world task autonomously
- Participate in at least one robotics competition
- Present a capstone robot project to peers and parents
